Strangely enough, my comfort lives in the bottles of pills aligned on my kitchen sink. All of them meant to fix me. Pink ones for my pain, green ones because I’m sad, grey because I’m anxious, white ones in case of emergency, left over blues from when I was sick. They all sit there, separated and safe. My comfort is knowing together, they could take it all away.
